A Fresh Start: Why Sewtaku Is Stitching a New Home

A plot twist we didn't see coming

Every good story has one. Our Etsy shop recently closed unexpectedly, and with it went our listings, our little corner of the internet, and a lot of hard work. It stung for a minute (okay, maybe a few minutes). But instead of closing the book, we're turning the page.

Sewtaku now lives here, on a shop that's fully our own. That means we're rebuilding from the ground up, one design at a time. If things look a little sparse right now, that's why. Thank you so much for your patience while we stitch our favorite designs back in and dream up some new ones.

Who's behind the needle?

Just me! I'm a college student who runs Sewtaku out of my home office. There's no warehouse, no big company, and no team of robots. It's just me, my two embroidery machines, and a slightly out-of-control thread collection. Every piece you order is hooped, stitched, trimmed, and packed by my own two hands, usually between classes and study sessions.

Why Sewtaku exists

I've always been the person who gets way too attached to fictional worlds. Books that keep me up until 3 a.m., anime that makes me cry over characters who don't exist, and all the cozy, geeky little things that make life feel a bit more magical. Sewtaku started because I wanted to wear those feelings, and I figured I couldn't be the only one.

So that's what we make: embroidered pieces for bookworms, daydreamers, and professional homebodies. Clothes for people who love stories as much as I do.
